Starbucks consistently innovates the elevate the coffee experience for its customers. It's been more than 20 years since the Starbucks Experience was born in the Philippines. They redefined coffee for most Filipinos from an ordinary drink that was prepared as part of a morning routine to a perfectly handcrafted beverage, made just the way we like it.

April 3, 2018 marks one of the highlights and successful milestone for Starbucks Philippines, as they announced the expansion of the company's industry -leading digital ecosystem with the launch of the Starbucks PH® App; a mobile app that provides a fast and convenient payment method  for its customers at more than 300 stores across the market. This is another way for us to have the great Starbucks experience.

Starbucks is the first coffee retailer to offer this innovation in the Philippines, the Starbucks PH® App integrates the popular Starbucks Card payment method and My Starbucks Rewards® on customer's mobile devices. Now it's not a hassle anymore if you don't have your Starbucks Card with you, all you have to do is log in on to your mobile app and pay through the app to buy your favorite Starbucks handcrafted beverages.

This Starbucks innovation aims to provide an enhanced experience and meet customers' needs in the digital space, while continuing to provide an exceptional experiences in stores -- as per Mr. Keith Cole, head of Marketing for Starbucks Philippines.

The Starbucks PH® App is such a great app that keeps customers in the loop, making sure they are the first to know the newest product offerings and promos. It's really convenient for all the coffee lovers as they will be notified whenever new messages are received on the app. Starbucks PH® App users are also in for a treat as they will receive special offers and event invitations straight into their app inboxes. Awesome right? Now everyone will be able to get exclusive freebies from Starbucks. As an added bonus, users can also share these offers with friends through email and/or their social media accounts.

One you downloaded the Starbucks PH® App, you then register to a My Starbucks Rewards®  account to easily track your account, your Stars and rewards. You can also pool your Starbucks Cards into one account and/or deactivate a lost card within the app. Aside from that, you can also track your previous transactions, and track your balance real time. No need to ask the barista to scan your card just to check your card balance, that sometimes take a long time to process.

An exclusive feature called "Shake to Pay" allows customers to shake their phones to bring up a barcode within the app that can be scanned to pay and redeem. The app is linked to their My Starbucks Rewards®  account so balances are automatically updated whenever the app is used.

One of the best features of the app that is really helpful for me is its store locator feature; the app will help the Starbucks lovers to enjoy their favorite handcrafted beverages anytime and anywhere. Through the app, they can be directed to the nearest store along with the list of other recommendations in the vicinity as they search by store name, Starbucks Reserve stores, drive-thru stores, or any stores that are still open at the moment. This feature will really help those people who seek for a place to hangout during late nights or at any time of the day.
