KarAsia Motors Inc Davao and Mitsubishi launched the much anticipated mid-size SUV is now out in the market - the 3rd generation Montero Sport last January 9, 2016. It was a night filled with car enthusiasts, loyal patrons of Mitsubishi and people from the media as well as invited guests.
The launch was quite interesting for Montero cars faced an issue that really affected the sales and quality of the product. However, Mitsubishi managed to come up and launch a newly designed Montero Sport. I am not really a car enthusiast, but i am amused by how cars are designed, made and even looks like - both exterior and interior aspect.
Here's a quick information about the difference of the the previous design from the newest one made. The previous model of Montero Sport has received popular reviews for its remarkable sporty exterior design, for its full-feature off-road performance and for its sedan-like comfort as well as its high levels of functionality and reliability.
Now, the All-new Montero Sport’s exterior and interior designs have been further enhanced to present a very stylish exterior and a quality interior with the look and feel seen in luxury European SUVs. The new tube-style LED Daytime Running Lights and Tail Lights gives a distinct look as well as its high center console interior. All of these are first introduced on a Mitsubishi model.

The Montero Sport, an SUV known for its convenience have been further enhanced to achieve a maximum comfort while driving. It is now equipped with a Keyless Operation System, Engine Push Start Button and a new Electronic Parking Brake – first on the mid-size SUV segment. It is also equipped with the latest active safety systems such as 7 SRS Airbags, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Forward Collision Mitigation System, Blind Spot Warning, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Trailer Stability Assist and Brake Assist. It has also received a maximum 5-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and the Latin NCAP for Adult Occupant Protection in 2015.
As to environmental performance, the All-new Montero Sport is powered by a MIVEC clean diesel engine designed to comply with Euro-4 regulations. The first diesel engine in the world that uses variable-valve-timing technology just like the gasoline-powered counterparts. It gives you the optimal combination of power, efficiency and low emissions.
The All-new Montero Sport also uses a new 8-speed automatic and 6- speed manual transmission which extracts engine power more effectively to achieve a very smooth acceleration feel and also makes a major contribution to lower fuel consumption. It is also equipped with a new Super Select II 4WD system – with a dial-type selector which does not only feature a central differential lock that delivers outstanding off-road performance, but also controls torque distribution to the front and rear for superior handling and easy operation on broad range of surfaces, from paved roads to slippery trails.
With its amazing design, comfort, all-terrain performance, and advanced equipment created to a stylish and comfortable off-road SUV concept, an attention-grabber which pushes the boundaries of what an off-road SUV should be, the All-new Montero Sport will surely be the king of the road.
