SALOMON in partnership with R.O.X brings you the first ever CITY TRAIL RUN 2016. The first in Mindanao, and the first in Davao City. It's not your ordinary marathon where you'll run across the streets of Davao City. This City Trail Run is a 12 Kilometer run that will start at the Davao Rizal Park just beside the Davao City Hall and ends at the famous Davao Crocodile Park. This will happen this coming January 31, 2016.
This City Trail run will be one for the books, for it will surely be something that most people haven't experienced yet. The trail run will be highlighting the famous sites and tourist spots in the metro and it will show the history and influenced Davao City has all throughout the years. The organizers have prepared and will provide an informative fun-filled city trail run activity by running a series of new building structures, architectural designs, old street, alley, bridges, and landmarks which are usually experienced by a regular runner.
Well this is something that you wont wanna miss, right? Here's an idea of the route that the City Trail Run 2016 will have.
It's not the first in the Philippines since the Salomon City Trail Run has been in Manila for 2 years inside Intramuros. It was created for runners who wants a different trail and surface variations like bridges, staircases, and hills.
Last January 16, 2016 - a media briefing took place to orient and to introduce CITY TRAIL RUN 2016 to the public as well as to introduce the new design of the Salomon city trail shoes, equipment and apparel. The said event was graced by the Race Coordinator, Mr. Dax Ang; as well as the Race director Erwin "Pastour" Emata and Frankie Tongo of Team Titans Davao - hosted by Ms. Mae Sanchez, Marketing Manager of Recreational Outdoor eXchange (R.O.X).
The event is an Eco-friendly one since they advise the runners and participants to bring their own water bottle for they will not provide any disposable cups and containers to avoid garbage and mess after the run. Interesting right?
Salomon City Trail Davao is a 2-3 hours of fun and adventure which all participants must manage the road with a smile and excitement to roam around city trail. The run will be short, but fun and exciting, for sure! - plus there will be an after run party! The organizers really made sure that there is something that you will look forward for this race. For the information of everybody, the Registration fee is at P700 inclusive of a white Salomon singlet, race bib, raffle stub, and free breakfast. First 150 finishers will receive a medal. (Registration ends on January 25, 2016)
