What a good week-ender treat! Let us open the year 2013 with a bang as Ginuman Fest is back! Fist bump! Ginebra San Miguel Inc. organized an awesome all-night party event for all the people of Davao, the GINUMAN FEST 2013 happened last February 1, 2013, Friday, at the Damosa Gateway Parking Area. On the festival’s second year, music lovers can look forward to evenings of overflowing drinks and great music as featured artists perform their greatest hits as well as hottest chart-toppers, standard favorites and party anthems.
“Ginuman Fest” is GSMI’s way of thanking its millions of kalahi for making its flagship product, Ginebra San Miguel, the world’s largest-selling gin. The crowd was ecstatic and already on their party-mood as the event is going on. There was really a sea of people in the venue. They are all waiting for their "idol" and their favorite bands and celebrities to grace them with their performances.The celebrity guests for that evening were the dashing 2013 Ginebra Calendar Girl, Ms. Georgina Wilson, The Sample King, Mr. Jhong Hilario, and 3 of the best bands in the country, namely The Itchyworms, Rocksteddy and Callalily.
It was really a star-studded event. Totally worth the time and effort. It was really a successful one. Kudos to the organizers and producers.
Well luckily for me i was able to go in front of the stage, have my own spot as i take pictured of the performers, even though i'm not the official photographer, i didn't have any staff id or anything. It's just my lucky day that the staff people didn't mind me as i'm clicking my camera and have awesome photos of the event.
Since we weren't able to get in the VIP section earlier, i never had the chance to take photos of Ms. Georgina Wilson. Anyways after Georgina, the first band to perform was the band called Callalily; it is an all OPM band composed of their front man Kean Cipriano, Tatsi Jamnague and Aaron Ricafrente on guitars and bass, as well as Lemuel Belaro on drums. They really did an exquisite job to hype up the energy level of the crowd as they sang their hit songs, where the crowd sings-along and just had a great time.
The next performer on stage was the country's "SAMPLE KING", the Showtime host Mr. Jhong Hilario, who graces the crowd with some dance moves, and even perform a sexy dance with a Chris Brown song. Women are really on the loose as they saw Jhong took off his clothes and throw it on the crowd.
After the high-intensity dance moves, the people is now captivated as the band The Itchyworms played their awesome chart-topping hit songs such as Suplado sa Personal, Beer, and Akin Ka Na Lang. The band is composed of Jazz Nicolas on drums and vocals, Jugs Jugueta on rhythm guitars and their front man, Kelvin Yu on bass guitar and backing vocals, and lastly Chino Singson on lead guitars.
To end the night, the last Performers were the Pinoy Alternative Rocker band, Rocksteddy. It is composed of Jeff Cucullo on drums, Christian Sindico on bass guitar and backing vocals, Juven Pelingon on lead guitars and their front man and lead vocals Teddy Corpuz. People are really cheering and shouting as they sing-along with the Band. Teddy also did some crowd diving while performing.
After that momentous event, we even got a chance to hang out with them at their hotel.We had few drinks and just had fun and chill till the night ends.
It was really one of the most epic and unforgettable moments in the event. Here are the people i'm with for the whole event! Thanks for that awesome company guys! 'til the next Ginumanfest! haha.
Right before Rocksteddy finish playing, the members of the other bands went up to the stage and jammed with them. It was really really fun! The crowd went wild and the performers became wilder haha. Epic!
