It's just my second day in Kuala Lumpur, and im already inlove with the place. It feels like i wanna stay here a bit longer. hehe
Today, we toured around the city thru the Hop On, Hop Off Bus. Its a shuttle service where you'll be able to go to the famous tourist attractions in the city.
*this is going to be a long post, since i went to a lot of places today! hehe.*
We started our journey from the nearest drop-off station, the KL Tower station. (just infront of our hotel. :D)

Chinatown KL, found at Petaling Jaya street, is a famous shopping place for tourists and locals alike. Everything can be found here – from keychains to clothes to bags. The best part about Chinatown is that you can haggle with the storekeepers. With the right skills, you can get something for half the original price that it was offered.
for our first stop over, we went to Bukit Bintang Area, at the Pavillion Mall
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is KL’s haute couture shopping Mecca. It takes a lot to stand out in the city’s mallscape but this shopping centre, which occupies prime real estate along Jalan Bukit Bintang, does just that. Opened in 2007 it has three major sections – a retail mall, an office block and two residential towers.
Keeping the city’s fashionistas looking polished, this KL staple is the perfect example of how extravagant some malls can be. It features almost the same staggering square footage as Mid Valley Megamall and 1 Utama and the 1.37 million-sqft white marble complex is a combination of indoor and outdoor shopping venues.
At the main entrance of Pavilion KL is the tallest Liuli Crystal fountain in Malaysia, the Pavilion Crystal Fountain. Billed as a national landmark, just like Rome’s Trevi Fountain you can toss in your loose change to make a wish: coins are later donated to charity.

Our next stop over for this tour is the SRI MAHAMARIAMAN TEMPLE
The temple is an arresting sight, all the more for its congruent setting in Chinatown. Built in 1983, it is the most elaborate Hindu temple in the country. Its gate tower is embellished with ornate sculptures of Hindu deities and its floors and walls marbled with Italian and Spanish tiles.

The City Gallery is a great place to know deeper the history of Kuala Lumpur for they showcase photos, articles, news papers and other historical stuff that shows how Kuala Lumpur started as a city.
well, the City gallery tour wont be complete without the Spectacular City Model Show! It's a light show that shows the present KL as well as the plans for the future of the city.

Next is the Sultan Abdul Samad Building just across the City Gallery and within the vicinity of the Merdeka Square.
Prior to the building of the Petronas Twin Towers, the Sultan Abdul Samad building has long been a famous landmark of Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur. It is situated at eh center of Jalan Raja. Unique to its Moorish-style design, the building, which designed by a British Architect, was completed in 1897. Its architect added an Islamic touch that suitably reflects the cultural background of Malaysia to the mostly Renaissance design.

At the other side of the street, you'll see the Muzium Textile Negara or the National Textile Museum
National Textile Museum takes you explore the richness of diversity in society. The museum tracks the trends and developments that have textile characterize and shape the lifestyle of Malaysians since pre-historic times to the present. Visitors can visit four galleries that showcase the famous textile collection, accessories and clothing. Multimedia presentation also highlighted techniques of textile production in Malaysia.

The Dataran Merdeka (or Merdeka Square) is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It was here the Union Flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag hoisted for the first time at midnight of August 31, 1957. Since then, Dataran Merdeka was the usual venue for the annual Hari Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade).
It has been a tiring but very fulfilling day for me, for i was able to explore more of the beauty Kuala Lumpur. I was really happy to be able to learn more about the culture and traditions of the Malaysians. So to end the day, we stop by Healy Mac's, an Irish pub, to have dinner and a lil bit of booze.
